About Mizan

Mizan is a coffee and matcha house built around a simple idea: that the best cups come from patience. We pull espresso slowly, whisk matcha by hand, and pour Saudi coffee the way it has always been poured — generously, for whoever walks in.

Two bars. One balance.

On one side, a slow espresso bar. On the other, a matcha counter where every bowl is whisked to order. Here is where they meet.

Roasted for sweetness, brewed for clarity.

Our coffee rotates with the seasons. We dial in each origin every morning, tasting until the cup is balanced — bright enough to be interesting, round enough to finish clean.

N° 03 — The matcha counter

Whisked, never rushed.

Stone-ground matcha prepared the patient way — sifted, whisked by hand and served the moment it is ready. Drink it pure as usucha, or soft and creamy as a latte.

  1. Step 01

    Sift

Every serving passes through a fine sieve, so it whisks without a single clump.

  2. Step 02

    Whisk

A bamboo chasen, water just off the boil, and quick zig-zag strokes until the surface turns to silk.

  3. Step 03

    Pour

Over steamed milk, cold milk or simply water — as soft or as bright as you like it.

A day at Mizan

06:30First pour

The grinder warms, the first espresso is dialled in, and the early regulars take their seats by the window.

11:00Late breakfast

Croissants from the oven, flat whites to the table, and conversations that run past noon.

16:00Matcha hour

The light softens. Iced matcha, a slice of cheesecake and the quiet hum of laptops and catch-ups.

23:00Late & golden

Families and friends linger over Saudi coffee, dates and one last cortado under warm, low lamps.

Step inside

N° 06 — The room

Light, wood, and a little quiet.

Low tables for long conversations, a bar for watching the pour, corners for working alone. Come early for the sun. Stay late for the hum.

N° 07 — Philosophy

From the bean, to the leaf, to the cup.

  1. 01The bean
  2. 02The leaf
  3. 03The cup

01 · The bean

Patience over speed

A good espresso takes thirty seconds. We taste every morning, adjust, and taste again — and never rush a shot to the counter.

02 · The leaf

A ritual, with respect

Matcha is sifted, then whisked by hand in quick strokes until it turns silky. One bowl at a time, the way the tradition asks.

03 · The cup

Everyone is a guest

Saudi hospitality is where we start: a warm greeting, a small cup offered, and time given freely to whoever walks in.

N° 09 — The experience

Hospitality, considered.

The coffee brings you in. The way you are looked after is what brings you back — so we sweat the small things.
